How do diapers suck urine away, and what determines the amount of urine?
Sap is the main water absorbent material in diapers. Polymer water absorbent resin (SAP) is a typical functional polymer material. Sap is like a small bead with a diameter of only about 0.2mm. It can absorb hundreds or even thousands of times its own weight of water, and has strong water retention capacity. Therefore, it is also called super absorbent or super water retaining agent.
The hygroscopic performance of diapers mainly depends on the absorption layer inside, that is, the high molecular absorption resin is composed of sap and plant fiber. Therefore, the thickness and size of diapers cannot determine the strong absorption of diapers, and the material is the key. High quality diapers will mainly use SAP as raw material, while low-quality diapers will cut corners and even replace them with wrinkled toilet paper
