SABIC showcases sustainable solutions on index

Geneva & mdash& mdash; SABIC's newly established petrochemical business health and health sector demonstrated its extensive purecares polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) polymer product portfolio for high-purity nonwovens and sanitary films at the index exhibition in Geneva this week.

The company's exhibition at booth 2441 also showed solutions developed with partners to solve the problem of plastic waste and support the transformation of the industry to a circular economy through closed-loop plans and certified recycled polymers under its trucircle product portfolio and services.

Highlights of the exhibition include PP and PE grades for lightweight non-woven fabrics using the latest spunbonded and melt blown processes, as well as new ultra-high melt flow PP products specially designed for melt blown fibers in non-woven fabrics. Nonwovens, supplemented by industry proven polyolefins, are used in cast and blown film applications in sanitary nets and laminates to provide ideal backing and topsheet properties, such as water tightness, air permeability and elasticity.
