Japanese shokubai recently announced that the company has developed a regeneration technology for SAP (high absorbent resin) for diapers.
SHOKUBAI has the first SAP production in the world. With a growing global demand for diapers, recycling previously burned diapers with SAP, can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help reduce the impact on the environment.
The technology was jointly developed by three Japanese companies, shokubai, comprehensive care system (Fukuoka) and Livedo Corporation (Osaka). The comprehensive care system has a good performance in recycling diapers, while Livedo is a professional manufacturer of Japanese diapers.
Starting in fiscal year 2021 (April 2021-March 2022), Japanese shokubai will carry out verification experiments at the comprehensive care system plant in Damoda, Fukuoka Prefecture to achieve practicality as soon as possible. Used diapers, as SAP absorbs lots of urine and expands, are difficult to recycle while both maintaining its vacuptive properties and separating it from the villi. This is a big problem in the development of the technology. (Wang Yingbin compiled from the Fuji Sankei Business Daily)
