Physical Properties of Spunlace Non Woven Composites

Spunlaced technology has good development potential and prospects in the field of nonwoven production, and is a sunrise industry. Composite processing is a common method to produce high-performance and functional products in the field of nonwovens. In this paper, the wood pulp paper and viscose fiber spunlace non woven are used to manufacture composites with aqueous acrylic resin, and the physical properties of this spunlace non woven fabric are analyzed.

1.Fracture strength and elongation of spunlace non woven composites

With the quantitative increase of wood pulp paper, the fracture strength of the composite changed significantly, and the longitudinal fracture strength and transverse fracture strength showed an increasing trend. In the material composite scheme, the elongation at break of each composite is between the two materials. Through the breaking strength and elongation index of the composite, it indirectly reflects that the aqueous acrylic resin solution has a good adhesion effect on wood pulp paper and viscose fiber spunlace non woven, which improves the overall breaking strength of the composite and the breaking elongation index of the composite.

2.Thickness of spunlace non woven composites

The thickness of composites is affected by raw materials, coating amount of waterborne acrylic resin, rolling pressure and moisture of composites. In this experiment, the overall thickness of the composite is between the thickness of wood pulp paper and the thickness of viscose fiber spunlace non woven. With the quantitative increase of wood pulp paper used, the thickness of the composite increases slightly, but the overall effect is small.

3.Liquid absorption height of spunlace non woven composites

The liquid absorption rate of wood pulp paper is closely related to the porosity of the paper. The absorption property of wood pulp paper is the penetration between and within fibers. The liquid absorption performance of wood pulp paper can be adjusted through the selection of fiber raw materials, beating process, online dehydration process, drying conditions, etc. The absorbency of spunlace non woven is related to fiber composition and product structure. The fiber raw material should contain hydrophilic groups, and there are pores in the material. In addition, the factors affecting water absorption also include fabric density, surface area, fiber fineness, fiber arrangement and other factors.

In this experiment, different amounts of wood pulp paper and viscose fiber Spunlaced cloth were used for adhesive composite. The liquid absorption height of the composite was 85~92 mm, which was between the liquid absorption height of wood pulp paper and viscose fiber Spunlaced cloth. With the increase of the amount of wood pulp paper, the liquid absorption height of the composite showed an upward trend.
