Problems with Hot Melt Adhesive Bonding

363

Material compound when there is a hot melt adhesive bonding is not strong glue or non-stick situation, in general, can be analyzed from the following four aspects:

The quality of the purchased hot melt adhesive may have problems

If it is caused by quality problems, we must pursue the relevant responsibility from the supplier. When purchasing again, choose a manufacturer with strength and quality assurance as a supplier.

Hot melt adhesive is not compatible with the material caused by the debonding or non-stick

Check whether the type of melt glue used is incompatible with the composite material, resulting in debonding or non-stick. If it is caused by material compatibility, just choose a new melt that is compatible with the material to solve. For users, it is very important to test and sample before mass production!

Hot melt adhesive grammage or thickness is not enough to cause debonding or non-stick

If the material is not compatible with the glue and non-stick, the composite material may be too thick, the melt chosen is too thin or the grammage is too small, resulting in insufficient adhesion. This situation only requires a thicker or heavier melt.

Compounding link operation is not in place to cause hot melt glue off or non-stick

Improper operation of the laminating environment leading to debonding and non-adhesion is a common cause. If it is caused by improper operation of the production line, it is recommended to do pre-service training.

As long as there are hot melt adhesive problems, basically only these four possibilities, other problems are relatively rare and can be ignored.
