Whether it is the manufacturer of disposable diapers or the majority of consumers, the most important function of the products is the strong liquid absorption ability, so as to keep the products dry, which is also the basic ability that disposable diapers should have. However, to achieve this goal, we still have to pass the test to know whether it meets the expected effect. The following is a brief analysis of the factors affecting product performance based on liquid penetration time and reverse osmosis.

Liquid penetration time of disposable diapers

Liquid penetration time and back osmosis are the two most important indicators to measure the surface of disposable diapers and sanitary napkins. In addition, the penetration time of liquid is also one of the important indexes to evaluate and measure the classification of hydrophilicity. Uniform hydrophilicity classification enables the material surface and fiber surface to be covered or covered with a uniform hydrophilic agent. It is a fast penetrating surface that can be evenly dispersed in the process of liquid infiltration, while the uneven hydrophilicity classification blocks some surfaces, which is relatively concentrated in several places with good hydrophilicity, which greatly increases the penetration time of liquid.

With the increase of the solubility of hydrophilic agent, the liquid penetration time of the material decreases. This is because with the increase of the solubility of hydrophilic agent, the oiling rate of the material is also increasing, and the content of hydrophilic agent attached to the material is also increasing, so that the liquid can penetrate into the lower material faster. It can also be concluded from the experimental results that when the solubility of hydrophilic agent is greater than 2%, the liquid penetration time only decreases slightly, and the range is small. It can be seen that the liquid penetration time remains unchanged with the increase of the solubility of hydrophilic agent.

In order to design the best product solution, considering various factors, the surface density (material itself), oil rate (hydrophilic agent) and the average pore diameter of the material (affecting the flow of liquid) are determined as the three factors affecting the liquid penetration time, and the appropriate process parameters are selected for orthogonal experimental analysis. The 20% es Spunlaced / hot air nonwovens with the shortest liquid penetration time were optimized.

Liquid reverse osmosis of disposable diapers

Like the liquid penetration time, liquid back osmosis is also one of the main indicators of the surface of disposable diapers and sanitary napkins. From the perspective of the product itself, the baby's own weight will squeeze the disposable diaper, which will make the urine absorbed and penetrated by the product reverse seep to the surface, causing discomfort to the baby's skin and forming red ass symptoms. Therefore, reducing or zero back osmosis is one of the research fields of disposable diaper surface.

In order to design the best product scheme, considering various factors, the surface density (material itself), oil rate (hydrophilic agent) and thickness (barrier effect) are determined as the three factors affecting the penetration, and the appropriate process parameters are selected for orthogonal test analysis. Optimize 20% es Spunlaced / hot air nonwovens to minimize the amount of back infiltration.

Considering the optimization results of liquid penetration time and liquid back infiltration, the best scheme is obtained: oil rate of 8.42%, surface density of 45g / m2, maximum average pore diameter of 78.5jum and maximum thickness of 0.888mm. Due to the high oil loading rate, the increase of back osmosis and the small liquid penetration time, the medium oil rate of 8.42% is selected; Smaller surface density is not conducive to the processing and production of materials and control the uniformity of materials. Select the surface density of 45g / m2; The larger the pore diameter and thickness, the better the penetration and control of the material. Select the maximum aperture of 78.5um and the maximum thickness of 0.88mm.

In order to prevent the negative impact of disposable diapers on users, the relevant test steps of enterprises on liquids are very important. At the same time, testing is also to develop new materials more suitable for products, so as to promote product upgrading.
