Test of contact temperature and cold feeling of adult diaper materials

It is not difficult to understand the concept of cold and warm in fabric contact, which is the cold and warm judgment formed in the human brain by the temperature stimulation of the fabric to the human skin after the fabric contacts the skin. Principle: Based on the phenomenon of heat transfer and conduction, the contact cold and warm sensor measures the transition absorption characteristics of the fabric in a very short time (about 1s), and evaluates the instantaneous feeling of the contact between the fabric and the skin, that is, the maximum heat flow Qmax. Large Qmax value corresponds to cold feeling and small Q max value corresponds to warm feeling.

The maximum heat flux Qmax values of the four products tested in this test are super Imitation cotton spunlaced nonwovens, ordinary polyester spunlaced nonwovens, 20% es super Imitation cotton Spunlaced / hot air nonwovens and ES hot air nonwovens, which show that the cold feeling decreases in turn and the warm feeling increases in turn. The thickness of these four products increases in turn, and the products are more fluffy. It can be explained that the higher the thickness, the higher the fluffy degree of the product, the larger the fiber gap and the greater the amount of stored air, so as to improve the sense of warmth. From the perspective of products, the cold and warm feeling of 20% es Spunlaced / hot air materials is closest to es hot air nonwovens, but there is still a certain gap.

 

Bending property test of adult diaper materials

KES bending test is carried out in the direction perpendicular to the gravity field under the influence of eliminating gravity, also known as pure bending test. Test conditions: humidity 65 + 2%, temperature 20 ℃. Principle: when the fabric is affected by the force or torque perpendicular to its own plane, bending deformation will occur. The bending deformation is related to the torque and the bending properties of the fabric.

The bending properties of super Imitation cotton polyester Spunlaced material, ordinary polyester Spunlaced material and ES hot air nonwovens were tested and compared.

The bending stiffness of the four products in MD direction is different. From large to small, they are es hot air nonwovens, 20% es Spunlaced / hot air nonwovens, super Imitation cotton polyester spunlaced nonwovens and ordinary polyester spunlaced nonwovens, which reduce the bending resistance in turn. From the perspective of reinforcement technology and fiber raw materials, it can be explained as follows: first, hot air reinforcement is the bonding between fibers in the product, and Spunlaced reinforcement is the entanglement between fibers. A large number of bonding points of hot air products make the products overcome the force between bonding points when bending and wrinkling, which is greater than that between Spunlaced products and fibers; Secondly, compared with three kinds of fibers, ES fiber, super Imitation cotton fiber and ordinary polyester fiber, the fiber fineness decreases in turn, and the fiber stiffness is also decreasing, so the material stiffness of ES fiber material is also increasing.

The bending stiffness of 20% es Spunlaced / hot air nonwovens in MD direction is much greater than that in CD direction. This is mainly closely related to the mesh laying mode of the mesh laying carding process. In this experiment, the direct mesh laying method was adopted to make most of the fibers arranged towards MD. In the process of bending to MD, most fibers will also bend, thus increasing the bending stiffness of the material.

 

Since adult diapers need to directly contact human skin, if comfort is not guaranteed, it is difficult to persuade users to wear them even if the liquid absorption performance is perfect. Therefore, we should reasonably use adult diaper materials to create a comfortable and lightweight product.
