Fluffy pulp core baby diapers are one of the important inventions of mankind in the 20th century. Since the invention of products, people have spared no effort to improve relevant technologies. Among them, the core is the focus of attention, which determines the absorption time, absorption, reverse osmosis and other important properties of baby diapers. Starting from the first generation of core, it is now generally the second generation. The first generation paper absorbent layer is mainly fluff pulp or a mixture of fluff pulp and polymer absorbent materials, with limited absorption capacity. The second generation water absorbing layer is mainly made of polymer water absorbing materials. The conductivity, water absorption speed and strength of the core are limited, and the granular sap is not easy to mix and slide evenly, which has a certain impact on the strength and properties of nonwovens, which is easy to lead to uneven absorption and high reverse permeability.

Analysis of water absorption ratio of baby diapers

Water absorption can directly represent the maximum absorption of baby diapers and is an important performance index of baby diapers. The absorption rate is mainly affected by the composition, shape and quality of the composite core absorbing material. As part of the swelling of the SAP/ fluff mixture is absorbed by the sample, the gap between SAP is reduced, which makes more surface liquids difficult to permeate, resulting in gel blockage. The surface layer and the core layer have a certain effect on the absorption of liquid, but they have a limited effect on the dispersion between the surface layer and the core layer. The super absorbent resin does not contain fluff pulp, and the absorption rate of the sample increases with the increase of SAP content. The sample with the largest water absorption is mainly due to the role of SAF fiber form and 3D structure, which can give full play to the water absorption of SAF, while 3D structure can effectively give full play to the multiple absorption of SAF.

Analysis of baby diaper back seepage

According to the national standard, the amount of back seepage of baby diapers is ≤ 10g. In order to simulate the actual use of consumers in sleep and exercise, the samples were tested with 100ml pressurized 2xg weight for three times, and their back osmosis was tested.

In the first pressure test, the amount of back infiltration of the three groups of samples was very small; During the second pressure test, the reverse osmosis increased, but all met the standard requirements; During the third pressurization, it was found that the reinjection amount of samples a and B exceeded the standard requirements, and the reinjection amount of sample C was small, which met the standard requirements. With the increase of test times, the amount of reinjection of the sample also increases, in which the growth of sample a and B is faster, and the growth of sample C is slower.

Sample a has less back osmosis in the first two tests and increased significantly in the third time, which is mainly due to the porous membrane (non-woven material) diversion layer of sample a, the size of porous membrane penetration hole funnel, and the special funnel hole has the function of rapid multiple absorption and conduction of liquid to prevent liquid back osmosis. Due to the limited water locking capacity of SAP / fluff slurry, the anti-seepage capacity decreases when the liquid is excessive.

Sample B had less back infiltration in the first two tests and increased more in the third time, mainly due to the high content of sap and fluffy non-woven fabric in sample B. The fluffy structure of non-woven fabric can effectively absorb SAP for many times and effectively prevent liquid back infiltration.

The three test penetration of C samples did not exceed the standard requirements, mainly due to the regular distribution of SAF fiber form and 3D structure, SAF rule distribution and 3D structure to effectively play the role of multiple absorption of SAF, SAF fiber form can effectively prevent liquid penetration, water swelling into soft fiber hydrogel, improve the comfort of baby after wetting.

The analysis of the above data can provide reference for the technology of new generation products. The new generation of core body baby diapers adopts 3D printing saf, which has the characteristics of closer fitting, lighter, not easy to reverse osmosis, continuous layering and no agglomeration. Therefore, it is bound to attract more consumers in the future.
